Auction: 1 1/4% Index-linked Treasury Gilt 2055
Changes In FTSE Indices

Following the announcement regarding the auction by the UK Debt Management Office, FTSE announces the following changes to the FTSE Actuaries Gilts Indices:

The nominal amount of the 1 1/4% Index-linked Treasury Gilt 2055 (Sedol B0CNHZ0& ISIN GB00B0CNHZ09) will increase from £3,313mn to £3,963mn after the close of business on 24 October 2006 (i.e. with effect from start of trading on 25 Ocotober 2006, using closing prices as at the 24 October 2006).
