Following a recent shares in issue update for ESOR (South Africa) and notification from the Stock Exchange, FTSE and the JSE announces the following changes:

INDEX	CHANGE	EFFECTIVE FROM START OF TRADING
FTSE/JSE Africa AltX (J232)	ESOR (South Africa, ZAE000078408, B119262) will remain in the index with an increased shares in issue total 238,837,176 and a decreased investability weighting of 40%.	18 December 2006
