Semi-Annual Review June 2009

The FTSE Bursa Malaysia Advisory Committee met today, 11 June 2009 to approve the semi-annual changes to the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Index Series.

The FTSE Bursa Malaysia Second Board index was not reviewed in anticipation of Bursa Malaysia’s merger of the Second Board with the Main Board on 3 August 2009. Instead, the Second Board companies were reviewed together with the Main Board. The eligible Second Board constituents will be added to the appropriate FTSE Bursa Malaysia indices after the close of business on Friday, 31 July 2009 and will be effective on Monday, 3 August 2009, subject to trading status. The FTSE Bursa Malaysia Second Board Index will be decommissioned at this time.

All other constituent changes will be applied after the close of business on Friday, 19 June 2009 and will be effective on Monday, 22 June 2009, unless otherwise stated.
