Further to the FTSE and NAREIT notice issued on 8 December 2011, and subject to the conversion of American Tower Corporation (USA) to REIT status, FTSE and NAREIT announce the following changes:

INDEX CHANGE EFFECTIVE FROM
START OF TRADING

FTSE NAREIT All REITs Index American Tower (USA, 2253608) will be added to the index with a shares in issue total of 396,630,596 and an investability weight of 100%. 09 January 2012

FTSE NAREIT Composite Index American Tower will be added to the index as detailed above. 09 January 2012

FTSE NAREIT Real Estate 50 Index American Tower will be added to the index as detailed above. 09 January 2012

FTSE NAREIT All Equity REITs Index American Tower will be added to the index as detailed above. 09 January 2012

FTSE NAREIT Infrastructure REITs Index (new property sector and sub-sector index) American Tower will be added to the index as detailed above. 09 January 2012

Please note:

American Tower Corporation (USA) has been classified as an Infrastructure REIT within the FTSE NAREIT US Real Estate Index Series Classification System.

The T+5 tracker products released after the close on 3rd January 2012, will detail the lowest ranking constituent of the FTSE NAREIT Real Estate 50 index which will be deleted from the index in order to maintain 50 index constituents following the addition of American Tower Corporation from the start of trading on 9th January 2012.

An updated version of the FTSE NAREIT Index Series ground rules will be available via the FTSE website from Monday 19th December 2011.
